Although anything Rock is usually my weapon of choice I have always had a very open ear for anything with a funky beat......
Recently looking for something new I picked up Ty's album 'Special kind of fool' not having heard of him before it became apparent that britain has had a genuine superstar living in the underground. Witty, insightful and delivered in a superbly laid back style this mans other previous albums should be gathered and cherished before the mainstream catches up and devours them.
....talking of laid back Mayer Hawthorne has a beautiful sound for a chill out. Check out his album. Lets be honest no one can resist a bit of soul Lee Fields.....That'll do...that'll do nicely.
Shall we venture back to some Rock??.....Some youngsters keeping the blood flowing and showing awesome potential currently are Deaf Havana, We are the ocean and Attack! Attack! not to be confused with Attack Attack! from America (Hmmm did someone say court case?) have a go see what you think.
